Voice community forum with Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO

Please join Senator the Hon Sarah Henderson for a community forum on the Voice with special guest Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO.

DATE: Thursday 17 August 2023

VENUE: Geelong West Town Hall, 153 Pakington St, Geelong West VIC 3218

TIME: 5.30pm – 7.00pm

You are warmly invited to a community forum on the proposed Indigenous Voice to Parliament and the Executive featuring special guest speaker, Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO.

Mr Mundine is a highly respected businessman, former chairman of the Coalition government’s Indigenous Advisory Council and one of the country’s most influential advocates for the economic empowerment of indigenous Australians.

Along with the Coalition’s Senator Nampijinpa Price, Mr Mundine is a leading advocate of the ‘no’ campaign in the upcoming constitutional referendum.

While this is a free event, your RSVP is required by registering here.

We all want to help indigenous Australians in disadvantaged communities, but the Voice is not the answer. It would enshrine a Voice in the Constitution with few limits to its scope and few details.

The Voice is legally risky, with unknown consequences, and would be permanent. If you don’t know, say no.

The community forum is an important opportunity to learn more about this vital issue for Australia’s future.
