Morrison Government backs Jan Juc arts and culture

I was delighted to help officially open the Yellow Gums Performance Space, built with $140,000 from the Morrison Government.

This is a wonderful asset for the Jan Juc community.  The space will not only host live music performances but will be an important place to facilitate a broad range of cultural and wellbeing activities.

I congratulate Paul Thompson and other members of Jan Juc Live for their vision.  In contrast to my Labor opponent, I was delighted to back this wonderful concept and secure an election commitment in 2019 on behalf of the Liberal Party.

The space is a great testament to the Morrison Government’s commitment to local arts and culture.  It sends the strong message that every community matters.

It was wonderful to be joined by Stephanie Asher, the Liberal candidate for Corangamite, who is determined to be a strong, positive voice for every community.

I also thank Surf Coast Shire and Torquay Community Enterprise for their partnership on this project.
