It is disappointing that regional Victoria has been placed into lockdown when there are currently no positive cases outside Melbourne.
For instance, in Apollo Bay, this weekend’s seafood festival has been cancelled which will hit local businesses very hard.
In the wake of the state government’s loss of the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach, this is another kick in the teeth for regional Victoria.
Many regional Victorians will be asking why we did not adopt the New South Wales model of only locking down areas of high risk.
