New facilities for Inverleigh Recreation Reserve

On Saturday 2 April 2022, I was delighted, along with Liberal candidate for Corangamite Stephanie Asher, to join members of the Inverleigh Football and Netball Club to officially open the new social rooms at Inverleigh Recreation Reserve.

Backed by a $500,000 election commitment from the Morrison Government, the upgraded social rooms, kitchen, canteen and amenities room is another example of how the Liberals are delivering for regional communities.

I acknowledge the leadership of president David Haste and former president Rick McEwan who have worked so hard with club members to realise this dream.

This will not only be a wonderful asset for the Inverleigh Hawks but for the whole community.

I thank Golden Plains Shire for its hard work in partnering with the Australian Government to deliver this project.

After delivering the funding for new lights which have transformed the reserve, I am delighted that the Morrison Government is continuing to deliver for the people of Inverleigh.

Whether it’s the investments at Inverleigh Recreation Reserve, the $5 million upgrade of the Hamilton Highway, the new Franklin Bridge, the Golden Plains Youth Hub, new soccer facilities in Bannockburn or the lighting upgrade at Victoria Park Bannockburn, the Morrison Government is working hard to deliver for Corangamite residents living in Golden Plains Shire.
