Liberal for Aston, Manny Cicchiello
A Dutton government will upgrade the Heany Park Regional Scout Hall, delivering much-needed improvements to support the Rowville and community and local Scouts if elected at the upcoming election.
Liberal candidate for Aston, Manny Cicchiello, said if elected the Coalition would fund $1.74 million of the $1.8 million project.
“As a long-time educator, I understand the vital role that organisations like the Heany Park Scout Group play in fostering leadership and resilience among our youth,” Mr Cicchiello said.
“This investment will provide a modern, safe space for Scouts to learn and grow, ensuring they have access to the best possible facilities.”
The Heany Park Scout Group, located on 25 acres of bushland in Rowville, offers programs for youth aged 5 to 17, teaching practical skills and promoting personal development.
“This investment reflects our commitment to supporting grassroots organisations that contribute to the fabric of our community,” Mr Cicchiello said.
“By upgrading the regional Scout Hall, we’re ensuring that future generations have access to quality facilities that support their development.”
Senator for Victoria Sarah Henderson reinforced the government’s commitment to investing in local projects that strengthen communities.
“Under Peter Dutton’s leadership, the Coalition is focused on delivering real support for local projects that help get the country back on track,” Senator Henderson said.
“The Heany Park Regional Scout Hall upgrade is a fantastic example of how the Coalition is backing local communities with practical investments that make a difference.”
Senator Henderson also praised Mr Cicchiello as a strong advocate for Aston.
“Manny Cicchiello is a dedicated and passionate local champion who understands the needs of his community,” Senator Henderson said.
“His commitment to ensuring families in Aston have access to high-quality local facilities is exactly why he will be a fantastic representative in Parliament.”
The planned upgrades will enhance the functionality of the Scout Hall, supporting the growing needs of the Scout group and the wider Rowville community.
Investing in local infrastructure is essential for building strong, connected communities and is part of the Coalition’s plan to get back on track.
