Petition: Labor must fund stage 2 of Drysdale aquatic facility
The Morrison Liberal Government is proudly delivering an election commitment of $10 million for stage 1 of a new aquatic facility for the north Bellarine, to be built at the Drysdale sports precinct adjacent to local schools, comprising an outdoor 50 metre pool, changerooms and kiosk. Under the leadership of Mayor Stephanie Asher, the City of Greater Geelong is also making a funding contribution.
This is a wonderful win for the Bellarine community.
Regrettably, prior to the last federal election Labor’s Libby Coker only committed a small amount of funding for a feasibility study, demonstrating she was not listening to local residents. The state Labor Government has made no funding contribution to this facility at all.
A proposed stage 2 of the aquatic facility would include an indoor warm water pool, gymnasium and other facilities. The Bellarine community deserves no less.
THIS PETITION calls on the state Labor government to deliver funding for stage 2 – please sign it to show your support.
