Upgrading Community Facilities

The Morrison Government is delivering vital funding to improve liveability and community facilities in the Ballarat electorate.

UPGRADING LOCAL PARKS AND TRAILS

  • Clunes trail loop upgrades;
  • Daylesford – Coomoora Trail construction;
  • Doug Lindsay Recreation Reserve security upgrades;
  • Lidgett Street, Bacchus Marsh landscaping works; and
  • Sports field, Bacchus Marsh works.

SUPPORTING LOCAL COMMUNITIES

  • Supporting returned soldiers through the Saluting Their Service  Program including the Ballarat RSL Sub-Branch and the Discharged LGBTI Veterans Association;
  • Backing regional shows including the Clunes and District Agricultural Society in Ballarat
  • Supporting local charities with $315,593 in recent community support grants to local charities including:
  • The Salvation Army (Victoria) Property Trust;
  • The Uniting Church (Victoria and Tasmania);
  • Anglicare Victoria;
  • Catholic Care Victoria Tasmania;
  • The Salvation Army (Victoria) Property Trust;
  • The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency Co-operative Limited;
  • VincentCare Victoria;
  • Anglicare Victoria;
  • Australian Multicultural Community Services Inc.;
  • CatholicCare Victoria Tasmania;
  • Community Information & Support Victoria Inc.;
  • Sacred Heart Mission Inc. and

IMPROVING COMMUNITY SAFETY

  • $450,000 community safety upgrade for central Ballarat including CCTV cameras

BUSHFIRE SUPPORT

  • The Morrison Government is providing $225,000 to the City of Ballarat to support its bushfire mitigation works.
