The Parliamentary Inquiry into a better family law system to support and protect those affected by family violence will return to Canberra to hear from the One in Three Campaign at a public hearing on Tuesday 5 September. One in Three Campaign is an organisation which raises awareness of the impact of family violence on all members of the family.
The Chair of the Committee, Sarah Henderson MP, said “the Committee has received evidence that not all victims of family violence are women. It is important to hear from organisations such as One in Three, which is concerned that the number of men who are victims of family violence is underreported.”
A detailed program for the hearing is available from the Inquiry website.
Public hearing details:
- 5.45 pm to 6.15 pm, Tuesday 5 September Committee Room 2R1, Parliament House, Canberra
The hearing will be streamed live at aph.gov.au/live and audio of the hearing will be made available from the Inquiry website at a later date.
