I would like to welcome the Geelong Falcon’s TAC Cup football team to the newly upgraded Central Reserve in Colac this weekend.
One of the many benefits of the Central Reserve upgrades is the ground’s ability to now host elite sporting events.
Although the playing surface is first class, up until recently the poor off field facilities limited the sporting events which could be held at Central Reserve.
The Geelong Falcons TAC Cup side features the best junior footballers from across the region and currently sits on top of the TAC Cup ladder. The Falcons will play Gippsland Power at midday on Saturday.
I am very proud of our government’s commitment of $2.5 million to the Central reserve upgrade which has principally funded a new state of the art pavilion, an upgraded grandstand and new netball change rooms.
I encourage local football fans to get along to the match and I wish our Geelong Falcons the very best of luck on Saturday.
