Community members from Aireys Inlet, Fairhaven, Eastern View and Moggs Creek as well as surrounding communities are invited to a community meeting I am holding this Friday January 29.
The Turnbull government is delivering a number of important investments for the local area including construction of the NBN in Aireys Inlet and Fairhaven which begins in the first quarter of 2016, and the $50m upgrade of the Great Ocean Road in partnership with the state government. Aireys Inlet CFA also received funding under our $300,000 Surf Coast Solar Towns program.
This is a good opportunity to raise other important local issues such as fire sirens, mobile phone reception and local infrastructure.
Mobile blackspots are a pressing issue and that’s why I have nominated Aireys Inlet/Fairhaven as priority locations in Round Two of the Turnbull government’s $160m Mobile Phone Blackspot Programme.
The meeting will be held at the Aireys Inlet Community Hall at 6 Great Ocean Road this Friday 29 January from 6.30pm – all are welcome.
I am working hard to deliver for Corangamite. Listening is vital. This is the first in a series of community meetings I am running throughout the electorate over the coming months.
