I am pleased to remind budding sporting champions across Corangamite that the current round of the Local Sporting Champions Grant program closes on 28 February 2018.

The program provides $500 for young sportsmen and women aged 12-18. The money can be used towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an elite level.

In the last round of the program, a wide range of sports were represented including ice hockey, sailing, golf, hockey, soccer, golf, equestrian, gymnastics, basketball, athletics, shooting, inline hockey, volleyball, surf lifesaving, fencing and skating.

This is an important way that the Turnbull government is supporting our young athletes reach their potential.  These grants also provide great assistance to families.
