I am excited to announce that the netball upgrade at Howard Harmer Oval Barwon Heads will be officially opened on April 15.
The works, which feature a $180,000 contribution from the Turnbull Government, will bring major benefits to the Barwon Heads Netball Club.
The club’s old facilities had not kept pace with club and regulatory requirements.
The $216,000 project has seen the existing netball courts upgraded to meet current Netball Victoria standards.
The works include resurfacing and extension of the existing netball courts, new line marking and goal post sockets, installation of fencing and the construction of courtside shelters, spectator seating and an administration building.
The Turnbull Government promised the Barwon Heads Netball Club upgrade and it is being delivered.
I congratulate the Barwon Heads Netball Club for being such wonderful advocates for their community.
Our Government invests in local projects because we understand Australia is made of more than big infrastructure projects.
Whether it’s investing in the Shell Rd Reserve pavilion in Ocean Grove, re-developing Colac Central Reserve or delivering new lights for Burdoo Reserve Grovedale, the Turnbull Government has a proud track record of delivering for Corangamite community and sporting infrastructure projects.
