I congratulate Spence Construction on being awarded the contract to redevelop Colac Central Reserve.
I am delighted that construction is about to get underway, supported by $2.5m from the Turnbull Government.
An upgraded Central Reserve will provide great benefits for local schools and sporting clubs including Colac Tigers Football and Netball Club and the Colac and District Football Netball League which uses the reserve for finals.
The redevelopment includes an upgraded grandstand, a new pavilion and netball facilities. Central Reserve’s state of the art facilities will be a great asset for players, spectators, children and families.
It is regrettable that this project has been delayed because of Labor’s refusal to provide any funding for this development for some two years.
Spence Construction is a successful Colac based company and I hope that the redeveloped grandstand, new pavilion and netball change rooms will be completed by the beginning of next season.
