I write to commend the Liberal candidate for Polwarth, Richard Riordan, who has hit the ground running in his campaign to win the seat.
As a local small business owner with a strong record of contributing to his local community, R$ichard understands how important ongoing investment is to jobs growth and opportunity.
Already, Richard has committed to six additional rail services per week to and from Colac and Warrnambool. I also want to congratulate Richard for confirming the Liberals’ $750,000 commitment to Coilac Central Reserve.
There is no better example of the State Liberals commitment to our region than the $371m duplication of the Princes Highway between Winchelsea and Colac, being delivered in partnership with the Turnbull government.
In stark contrast, we have seen a real failure from Labor which has refused to commit any funding to the Central Reserve upgrade or deliver additional train services. In fact, the Labor Party is so disinterested in Colac that it decided not to even contest the seat of Polwarth. The is may be explained by the failure of Labor;’s Corangamite candidate Libby Coker to deliver anything for Colac when she was Labort’s Polwarth candidate at the 2014 state election.
If Richard Riordan is elected, Polwarth residents will be very well represented by a trusted and caring advocate.
